No, that's not a typo.
The key reads as #1303 if I boot up GT on the same nighthawk.
I bought an SSX CID and drive based around this security chip. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Ive had before where the I/O board chip got scrambled very similar was the correct chip but had a weird similar error, I had to send it to IT to straighten it out. Happened after changing the I/O board and moving the chip to the new I/O board

Thanks for the response. I am not sure how much help IT will be....I called them and the tech I got wasn't helpful at all, they really don't want to help with anything "Live"/online related if you're not an op.
I have actually tried this chip on 3 different I/O boards with the same result, I believe the chip itself is good.
I have received a plausible answer as to the 11303 chip. It is supposedly a special "upgrade" chip that upgrades all older (original-ssbc2009) versions to SSB Live 1303. After some research based on that comment, I found this:
https://amusement.itsgames.com/wp-c...e-live-offline-to-online-kit-instructions.pdf
Evidently, as part of the upgrade process, it destroys the #17 CID (rewrites it as 13-000000 I am told) and re-writes the security chip ID from 11303>1303.
Of course, the kit shipped with (what I assume is probably an equally special and impossible to find) SSB Live Upgrade DVD.

I have a sacrificial #17 CID, as well as spare security keys for 1101 (SSB) and 1302 (SSBC 2009) so if I can find this mythical upgrade DVD, I theoretically have the needed base to finish converting this 11303 key.
It looks like that is my only option other than that would be to find someone who wanted to trade me the right key for all this older #17 SSB stuff I got.
