When powering on I get a no signal entering power saving mode. Had happened intermittently previously and after cycling power game would load. For the last few days it would always display no signal. Replaced video card. Still no signal. Switched hard drive. No signal. Today I replaced video cable and game loaded! It ran until the power company killed power working on the line across the street. When it came back on- no signal . Cycled power twice and it booted up. Ran about 10 minutes until power company killed power again. Now I am back to no signal. I assume something on the main board is causing intermittent detection of the video signal. Anybody else ever have this problem or have insight as to what would cause this? 20250629_214458.jpg

This runs on a mostly normal PC, so you can take it out of the cabinet and just hook up 120VAC power and VGA to troubleshoot and repair, at least for the initial boot process.

Replace CR2032 battery. Look for electrolytic capacitors with bulging tops.

If fans aren't running when power is applied, it's either bad power supply, bad motherboard, or the motherboard needs to be manually started by shorting the two pins where the power button on a desktop PC case would normally plug in. Red pins on the "front panel" header, page 14: https://community.intel.com/cipcp26785/attachments/cipcp26785/wireless/52837/3/D915GAV Guide.pdf

If fans are running, could still be bad power supply, bad motherboard, or bad connections on RAM, CPU, or video card; use contact cleaner spray and reseat each one. Try the CPU last... you don't have to redo the CPU heatsink compound until you know you have good working parts and are ready to put it all back together.
