Silicone Heat Transfer Compound

Yeah, it's the right stuff.
You don't want to put too much.
A really thin, even layer on both surfaces is all you need.
I usually put a little on my finger tip and smear it around.
Also,
clean the old stuff off first before applying the new stuff.
 
Don't get silicone heat sink grease on your clothes. It will permanently remove all color from the fabric where the silicone grease touches.

If you get it on your hands, isopropyl rubbing alcohol will take it right off.
 
I think you have enough to service 1000 replacements... ;)

Ha, That's funny but true,
I replace large, high current SSRs and SCRs on a regular basis and I've had the same medium size tube for what seems like forever.
If your looking for a smaller amount, Radio shack actually carries the stuff in a smaller amount.
