Hello everyone,

Sorry I posted in the wrong category and can´t find the way to eliminate from ¨general discussion¨ If moderator see this please delete the duplicate and leave this as I think is more appropiate for the issue. Thank you

I have 12C chip burnt in Silent scope 2 Comm board, the small PCB plugged in the corner of the Main PCB. As we don´t use the network in this game, my question is: Is there any way to set the game so it could work without this pcb ? PCB code is: GQ931 PWB (H). I would really apreciate the info if somebody knows the answer.
If not, please anybody that would sell the part or Comm board, or complete PCB? The IC is Xilinx XCS10XL, it should be programmed for the game, and location is 12C in GQ931 PWB(H) of Konami hornet hardware.
Thank you in advance for any suggestion
Best regards

The game needs this board. There is some security code programmed on one of the IC's. This determines the different versions. All the roms on the main board are identical except for the NVram. If the NV is programmed with the UA version and the comms pcb is a EA version the game will start up but will halt with a "Security check error'.

Thank you hitech1, so that means if I have both versions UA and EA of NVRAM, I should get a new comm bd of any country?
Then please anybody has that pcb for sale? May be any scrap to take it off? I know its very difficult but I ask just in case...
Is there any Konami parts provider in USA?
Thank you all
