well its just a peice of junk now, you should just give it to me and be rid of it!

Sorry man, been wanting this game. I have no clue how to help. Other than it would seem that something is loose somewhere after its been moved. Start at the begginning and unhook and replug in everything including eproms!

I have been trying to get this game for over a year.. I know your struggle.

I'm thinking it might be voltage?? The pcb has a cage on it in guess it can't hurt to open that up and see what's inside. I did reseat all connectors but that wasn't it. The game is in my vehicle for its second road trip today. When I get it home in a few hours ill check it out.

tried cranking the voltage, did absolutely nothing, still checking all the roms or whatever and passes everything, says device check complete, gives me a defender like rug pattern for a second, flashes a red or green screen, gives me another quick rug pattern, black screen, then reset to device check.

:( anyone with any info would be great.

*** ALSO

I have all the connectors in place, but theres one that has orange and black wires, its a simple 3 pin connector, with no place for it to go? its zip tied right near the bottom of the loom where the monitor connector on the pcb goes, so its around the pcb, not the power supply. There is no place for it...?

Also What is the start up supposed to be? is mine doing something it shouldnt?

And does anyone know the dip switches?

The first time original seller turned on game it went to a rug pattern then completed all tests and eventually the game came on. Seemed like an overly long time for boot but I am unfamiliar with the title. Everything was working including scope and monitor. It made a 150 mile journey to NJ and now has a constant reboot.

Streetkingz transported prolly another 150 and still the same thing. Does anyone have any ideas on this one. The entire PCB assembly is housed in a metal box. So it was not exposed to any elements. Looks like a cross between a DVD player and computer tower (the enclosure).

What would cause it to work in the AM without issue, now have a constant reboot
especially after clearing all tests? Would switching out the power supply be a viable option here? The power supply is very similar to a PC power supply as it already has all the molex connectors coming straight out of the PSU. Actually it has 2 identical molex's that the harness plugs into.

If anyone can help Streetkingz Id appreciate it.

Yeah I'm gonna probably order one. Would love someone to chime in and reassure me this isn't a board problem.. I'm hoping it isn't?

I can take the picture tonight when i get home from work. In the mean time can you answer any of those questions about the start up sequence and dip switches? Also what version is yours mine says 1.20uab (or something similar) I don't even know if it's ss1 or 2

The common problem of this bd is 48t58 timekkeper, it should generate -11p error though, but if it was changed sometime, it should be socketed, and there is a chance that it had been loosen while traveling. Check it unpluging the communication board (a little bd in the corner that has 2 rca connectors near main filter of the case) and you`ll find the nvram below this bd, also check this bd is properly plugged, as this could cause a initializing check fail and reset it over.
Btw, how did you get this board? I am looking for a working comm board that had blow out on mine and can`t find anywhere. I know it`s a hard to find piece but please if anybody knows something let me know...
Thank you

1.20 uab is the original silent scope. If you look in the top left corner during the checks, itll say silent scope, or dark silhouette.

If it is resetting after those checks, id lean more towards the game rom's having come loose. They are all socketed as well. Some of those loose / missing can also generate an -11p error, or just reset, depending whats out. Also the 2 short ribbon cables that go over the network board (if installed) plug in pretty loosely, id check them.

Dip switches should all be off.

The startup is color grid, rom check screen 1, rom check screen 2, hw error if there is one, then a loading screen saying please wait then good to go. Takes about 3min total to boot.

Well then it's a ss1 board. It says silent scope c1999. Not dark silhouette.. Either way I still want it to work lol. It's a three board stack. I will take it apart today. I ordered that power supply figuring what the hell but who knows if that's gonna work now? Makes no sense that the cabinet is a dedicated dark silhouette with a ss1 pcb? I'll pull it all apart tonight and let you guys know. I did take the cover off and the top board everything was on tight.

So since its a three board stack which board am I looking at reseating? All of them or what?

Well I ordered the ps today and it shipped already. I'll find out when that comes in I guess. I'm gonna try to reseat everything tonight

IIRC I turned the 5v up to 5.3v on mine. That PS will turn itself off without a load,so gotta be quick to test it w/o the pcb hooked up (alligator clip leads, and set the meter on max hold). Without sitting in front of my cab, the only connector I can think of matching your hanging description is the 3rd power line. There should be a big 6 pin 5v, 4pin gnd, and a smaller 12v connector.

Check that out, make sure they are all hooked up.

Holy shit. Ether I don't have that little one on my board?? Or I missed it because it's behind those brown things.. Do you think that would cause this problem?? That little one you have labeled 12v is the one I haven't connected..

Jesus. Well not pointing fingers but someone forgot to take pics before it was taken apart and had no clue about that one either.. Haha ;-)

I had the same problem - I got 2 of these non working and they were disassembled prior to me even arriving to pick them up. So I got to figure out all the connections, rewire the gun harness, and the gun pot harness as they were ripped apart. All kinds of fun! In the seller's defense, he passed em along the same way he got em.

I was totally busting balls on that comment haha. I might have another ss this weekend.. Lmao can't find one for a year and then two in a week?!?! This one is number 2 definitely so i want it
