Significantly downsizing the collection and projects, Reno NV

The thought has come across my mind more than a few times these last couple months. I currently own a staggering 45 machines, including all of my projects. What's even worse is that I will have 3 more coming in soon. I am on the verge of losing my sanity with the amount of projects that are accumulating. I am treading that fine line between fun hobby and stressful hoard. I have made myself a deal that this year, I will attempt to chop the collection nearly in HALF. Aiming for 25 total. (First world problems, amirite?). These are the games that I decided will hit the chopping block so far.

Main Collection:
- South Park Pinball (HUO, full LEDs and Cliffys) $3500
- Asteroids Deluxe CT (needs the lockbar for the side panel and coin box, but is fine otherwise) $350
- Demolition Man Pinball (Full PinballBulbs LED kit, practically new everything.) $3000

Garage projects to be offloaded:
- Converted Super Pac Man (Comes with almost everything needed to reconvert it. Still missing back door, marquee, power PCB, and monitor) $200
- Converted Warlords CT (Converted to trivia game. Includes used but clean replacement glass top and non-working Warlords PCB.) $1600
- Non-working Ms Pac CT (Just doesn't work. Haven't touched it at all. Comes with reproduction underlay) $400
- Whirlwind pinball #1(warehouse condition, broken ramp, side of cabinet painted with blue enamel paint, partially disassembled but it's all there.) $1400
- Earthshaker Pinball (warehouse condition, I think it's missing the shaker motor, one small wire ramp, and the AC wiring is messed up) $1200

- Converted Tempest cocktail (Won't have glass top or PCB, raster monitor) $200

Then after all the above have been sold, these are the projects I'll still be focusing on to rebuild, THEN will be sold (all prices TBD, possibly accepting as-is offers for the right price) :
- Whirlwind Pinball #2
- Whirlwind Pinball #3
- Hook Pinball #1
- Hook Pinball #2
- DE Simpsons Pinball
- Cyclone Pinball
- Airborne Pinball
- Robocop Pinball
- Laser War Pinball
- TMNT Pinball
- Police Force Pinball

But of course, there are machines I cannot decide whether to keep or let go, so obviously no immediate decisions will be made but maybe someone can help sway me one way or another:
- Moon Patrol (Partially empty, heavy restore project)
- Defender (working, but not clean enough for gameroom yet)
- Galaga (sorta working, water damaged cab. Been waiting for a cabaret)
- Punch Out (basically restored, but rarely gets played, yet has sentimental value)
- Qix (Converted, but seems easy to reconvert. Can't keep em all though.)
- Roadblasters (I love the game but again, I can't keep them all)

Obviously I will still have my work cut out for me no matter what. But this is the most significant downsizing I have ever done. I am eager, yet timid at the thought of the pending arcade exodus. And of course, with all these machines will go literally hundreds of parts I have accumulated as a result. I just want a clean garage again. So badly. I plan on stacking my truck to the headliner for the swap meet at the Golden State Pinball Festival in May, and I will make a separate thread with the parts available once I have gone through everything.

Pictures to come as soon as I can.

I fear with such a downsizing, you'll lose your Super Moderator status. LOL :001_ssuprised:

This should be called a cocktail and pinball sale. Interesting choices there ... no one ever said that you have to have no ongoing projects in this hobby.

Well that's the thing. I still have a bunch more meaningful projects that I haven't got around to putting the time into because everything else is in the way. I still will have 6 or 7 more projects for myself I won't be getting rid of.

I don't ever foresee a day when I'll have zero projects.

Several machines are pending picture requests. They will be posted here tomorrow morning as I pull them all out from their slumber.

Here are some pics, more to come as I find time.
