I grabbed a Smash TV board set last week off eBay and when it showed up today i decided to give it a good look over for bent pins ect..

When i flipped it over to the solder side i was surprised to see a name signed (autograph style) on one of the lower edges. then flipping it over i noticed the main CPU is signed also...

I've gotten boards with initials on them before but never anything like this, could be something but most likely nothing. I'm guessing it's just a repair done by signature but it's a full on signature where most just put the shorthand.

Anyone honestly have a honest Developer signed board?

Pretty cool maybe somebody can make out the signature.

Btw I found a smash TV cab! Sideart painted over and it has been converted into a fishing game but I'm gonna restore it.

i think it's just someones signature who repaired it once but pics inc. who know's maybe it's someone here who did it :D

But it seems kinda fancy for just repairer ints. Usually I see Inspected by: stickers if anything.
Maybe someone who owned the board at one time went somewhere and got it signed by a programer from Williams?
I've heard of people getting a marquee/PCB autographed before.

I would look up the people involved making Smash TV.

John Tobias etc etc.

I was thinking the same thing, 99% of the time i always see initials and a complete signature is just.... WTF.... lol

the board does show signs of repair as there are 2 wires on the solder side of the board (looks like trace repairs) that were hot glued in place. that's why i'm also thinking it's just a repair sig but still WTF! lol (the signature is no where near the repair tho).

I was thinking Derek Jeter, but if that's the case i'm putting it up for sale.

Maybe the seller signed it so he knew that the board was his in case of a return.

Yeah, I took my Robotron marquee with me to the Midwest Gaming Classic show last year, since I knew Eugene Jarvis was gonna be there, and got him to sign it for me :)
