I have a Sigma Slot Machine SG-50B. It powers up and will play a few minutes then the displays go out and I can't do anything. (All the back glass lights stay on) Eventually it will turn back on and work again for a few minutes. I have bypassed the door switch, re-seated every connector and pulled out all boards and looked for cold solder joints. Everything appears to look ok. Any other ideas? Thanks!

What you have is called a thermostatic short. It acts just like a thermostat. When its cold it works fine till it heats up and seperates losing contact. The problem is a crack in a wire or solder joint and is very difficult to find. Try watching it in the dark, you may see a tiny spark when it lets go.

Mine was a resistor

buy some coolant spray from radio shack and start spraying the board when it kicks back on stay focused in that area checking every component also feel for hot chips its very hard to say what part it could be mine ended up being a bad resistor.
