What's with Fireballs around here?

I now have another possible trade opportunity. Fireball II in what looks to be INCREDIBLE SHAPE for System II cab with Paperboy and Championship Sprint.

He also has a working Star Castle I TRIED to get him to throw in on the deal but have been unsuccessful thus far.

How does Fireball II compare to Fireball Classic gameplay wise?

I`d take that trade quick!!! Fireball 2 is way better than fireball classic too. That pin looks real nice as most are faded & beat up.

I'm only hesitating because of the time and $$ I have in to Paperboy/Championship Sprint... and I do still play `em... I dunno. I'm going over to play the pin soon. I'll back off on the Star Castle add-on I think.

I'd take the fireball. And see if you can get the Marble Madness too! :)

The fireball II is a fun older bally machine (in my opinion). I like it more than the original, but purists seem to favor the original. Looks to be in amazing shape as well. Nice colors on the PF and cabinet.

Funny, I always seem to go against the grain around here. As far as equal value goes .... when you're trying to trade I tend not to look at actual value. If both parties involved are happy then that's all that matters. But Frizz, I see your current pin line up is pins that are later dated. While I don;t argue the fact that the pin appears to be in excellent shape, game play/longevity I think is going to fall short. I don't know man. I'm glad you're going to play it. Hopefully it trips your trigger.

I actually gravitate towards the early 80's generation of pins. Perhaps it's because I am not a "pinhead" ... I dunno. I prefer my Xenon over my Whirlwind. I preferred my 1980 Stern Lightning over the 1988 Data East Secret Service...

I think that you should get the Fireball 2. It is one of the better playing Bally's from the early eighties. Lots of Drop Targets, multiball and the cool little demon post. And they aren't all that common of a game. The system 2 games are easer to locate if you change your mind and want them back.

I play my Fireball 2 more often then I play a lot most of the other games in my collection. The only odd thing is that guests never play it unless they remember it from the old days. I guess the theme and artwork scare them off.
