Applied artwork (from gameongrafix.com) to the sides of my Centipede cabaret this evening with the help of my wife. Lots of swearing on my part when we started the first one, but by the end of the second it went very smoothly.

One little speck of dust got in the first part, and an air bubble appeared in the second, but I was able to get rid of the air bubble by poking a small hole and squeegee-ing it out.

Very glad that it's over, but I like the way it turned out. For future reference for anyone, this is mounted 6" from the front and 7" from the bottom. I like the way it seems pretty even at the top of the green rectangle between the front and back.

That looks pretty damn good. I am in the process of building a duplicate of my Dig Dug cabaret to house all the Centipede cabaret parts that I have. I will probably need to go this route since the wood vinyl out there does not really match the original. I think this is what Rich is planning on having available for most the Atari cabarets eventually.

Really appreciate all the nice comments from everyone.

I mentally justified doing the white laminate on the grounds that I was committing no more of a purist crime than applying a incorrect woodgrain since it's no longer available. The bottom of the cabinet was swollen as hell and unsalvageable.

While I was definitely interested in the notion of having reproduction artwork from the original films, my desire to wrap this project up (and receive approving nods from SWMBO in the process) meant I went with what was available right now. Between beer making, my MGB, this arcade stuff, and everything else going on in life, I have too many freakin' hobbies. :D

I am a purist, but that looks really good. Nicely done.
