side art from vinyl

Never done it but I would try a heat gun on low power.

Take the arcade outside and get some lacquer thinner then soak some up with a paper towel and just rub it over an area of the old side art bit by bit when it starts to look wet use a plastic scrapper to get it off. It works great except all the vapors from that thinner will get you a little high if you breath it in.

Heat gun on low.
Heat it up for a few seconds then pull off the corner till it gets tight. apply heat again as you pull. Heat it off & on till the side art is soft.

once you get started you'll know what to do.

I do it all the time.

Your thread title makes it sound like you got creative and made your own side art out of vinyl. Like making an airplane out of a sheet of paper or an ashtray out of a lump of clay. I had no idea you were talking about removing the side art and saving the vinyl underneath til I opened the thread. Heat is really the only clean way.
