Hey guys,

What do some of you use as adhesive to re-glue artwork that is starting to peel and to secure T Moulding that is missing the vertical edge that sits inside the groove? (if it's even possible)

Thanks in advance.

I've used 3M Super 77 spray adhesive with decent results for all kinds of artwork repairs.

I've used standard wood glue (Titebond II) to hold T-Molding in.

Not saying these are the "best" to use, just ones that are readily available in my area and seem to work relatively well.

t mold

Wrongdon turned me on to using a craft hot glue gun to hold t mold in shotty cabs. Works super super good once you get the knack. You have to work quick though as it cools very fast. Can be cleand out with a razor you screw up.

If I can find this can of 3m stuff. You will have to get it from a sign shop or try to find a company that will sell it to you. I know a guy that owns a sign shop and he gave me a sample can. It's used for embossed place for vehicle wrap but I think it would work to reapply adhesive to tha a's long a's the adhesives not dirty or still has it on.

Buy the way it's called tape primer by 3m.

Hope this helps

I have seen the 3M77 at some WalMarts, and any amusement machine distributor should have it. There are several grades of this product. I use the 76 for attaching backed felt to pool table slates. A one and a half inch wide spray on the top, a coat on the edge of the slate, and a double coat on the backing. Stretch the hell out of the cloth, trim it flush with the bottom of the slate, and the cloth will separate from the backing before the glue will let loose. Some folks glue cloth to rails and use staples only at the ends. I prefer the 76 because it is more like contact cement, in that it gets dry in a few minutes. The 77 seems to stay sticky forever and is just messier to work with, although it might be better for your purpose. Just be sure to mask off any area you don't want to spray, because it takes a lot of work to remove overspray.

The stuff I was talking about is not a spray but in liquid form. Here is a pic of it. Hopefully it's not to little to see.

Hope this helps

LOL. I think I'll just play it safe and use the 3M stuff and a hot glue gun for the T Moulding.

Thanks for all the help and advice everyone :)

Where do u purchase the 3m spray? I am having trouble with one side of tron shroud art...one side id fine...other keeps wanting to perl off

Word of advice, make sure to do a test spray first, some of the stronger adhesives will actually eat away at the artwork like acid

Agreed. I wouldn't use anything above the 77. I've used 80 before and it was eating a bit of a CPO I had. Luckily, it was on a part that can't be seen.
