Sick and tired of drilling!

no offense bro, but you are never allowed near any of my games. that just sounds like a really harsh way to open a coin door.

You've never tried it so don't judge it yet. I thought the same thing till I seen an operator pull a door open this way. was slick and fast and to my amazement didn't hurt the door one bit. I don't think I would do this on an expensive grail type cab though. I do have some sense.

I've broken enough bits to fill an entire kit...or use one up!

I'd love to see video of a lock being drilled out that quick, my "record" is about 10 minutes. Slow and steady. I guess I heated the locks up too much and didn't use quality bits.

The lock picks are at the very least going to be fun...

Next lock I need to drill, I will video it and put it on youtube. I've NEVER come across a lock that took 10 minutes. Now that said, I've not drilled a barrel style lock.

Drilling a lock is no fun. Picking a lock is a rewarding challenge! Kind of like fixing an OEM power supply instead of installing a switcher, or like making your own paint! (Not really. Making paint is hard.)

I had to drill out a pay phone lock once, now that was a chore. Still have to do one more.

I have a few games I need to drill out too, hopefully those will be the 20 second kind. :)

Lock picking used to be a hobby I was quiet into, just for the challenge and satisfaction of picking locks. Check out this forum, more information than you'll find anywhere else on lock security: http://www.lockpicking101.com/

So what about other non-destructive methods to get into a cab? 2 of my machines, someone used a hacksaw blade to cut the tang off the backdoor lock .. climb in, and take the tang off the coin door lock.

I picked up a cab where someone had used a hole saw to cut around the lock...

...but he failed miserably as there was a lock plate on the inside of the cab! :D

I bought the 6-piece lock pick set and the z-shaped torque piece snapped the second time I used it :(
