Hello
I recently buy a cheetah shuffle alley
I want to know if its recommended to put a clear coat on the surface??

I'd refrain from clearing over Formica. Especially with the friction the puck. If the lane is destroyed you can buy a new piece of Formica. St Louis Ball Bowler Co. sells them.

However shuffle alleys are not worth much and the new surface is not cheap so I suggest to use Novus 2. Take your time and you'll be surprised how nice it works.

After I wipe the haze off the alley I also place a healthy coat of Meguiars pure carnuba wax. Finish it off with silicone spray. Then #5 Speed shuffle alley dust.

Good luck!

Thanks for the answer
Yes Formica is quite expensive (499$), and I paid my shuffle alley 200$
I think I will take the second option.

I hope that works out for you...welcome to the boards. Post some before and after photo's. Can't really find any out there.

Good luck...OHEMIO

I really like the silicone spray as it keeps the dust in place and you won't need a ton of dust. Although the silicone spray does smell when you put it on. I also don't care for the slower "shuffle alley" powder. You can get much faster (some too fast) powder - I think I settled on #2 speed.
