I think my hard drive crapped out on my Sportstation. sucky part is I've been telling people I'll dump it so they can have my version.
honestly couldn't tell you any error codes or stuff, all I know is that it won't even boot Showtime anymore and that in Blitz the game will reset to the POST screen before the Vs. screen comes up.
alternative theory is that my security chip could've taken a dive. the power supply went bad in it, and I replaced it with a new uber bulky Power Pro and no change.
Blitz Test Mode works, the drive doesn't report any errors in there however. could be the electronics on the drive are failing as well.
if I'm getting no errors in Test Mode, can I at least try CHDMAN with it?
permitting I load a CHD to another drive, what's the optimal disk size I use?
I have a couple IBM Deathstars laying around (4.3 and 6.4 gb) and a shitty Maxtor 8.4 gb that freezes when you run it in Ultra DMA mode (weird, I know). smallest drives behind that are like a 20 gb and a whole mess of 40 gb WD Caviars.
my U27 says version 2.6, I think the drive said 1.5.
