How are those cabs? I'm about to buy one locally that has Virtua Fighter 4. Are they easy to maintain? I've read you can separate the controller parts from the monitor part to move it around.

I know they are bit modern for this forum but maybe a klover has experience with them. who made those cabs?

If you're buying a white showcase cab like the one in the picture, that's an Atari showcase. They're great, I love mine but would only want one due to the size. These usually have enough wiring harnesses and connectors to convert them from one to four player games. The podium type control seperates from the monitor base.

Are those monitors known to be reliable?
As reliable as any monitor can be. It also depends on the chassis you use. One thing about these 33" monitors is that you won't run into too many problems replacing the chassis. 33" chassis seem to be pretty universal and if you need a new replacement chassis you can get one starting at about $100.

Every showcase I've seen has had an EGA monitor in it. Just make sure the monitor will work with your PCB before you buy it ;)

They're usually switchable. If the Showcase Tigerstyle is buying has Primal Rage in it then it's at the very least SD capable.
