Showcase 33 restore? or brought back from the dead?

Dont know if you can call this a restore since the game before was a Tekken TAG, but im sure as hell bringing it back from the dead and to proper use...bought the cab empty from pindork1 (cool guy) along with a q-sound big blue.

Now when i first saw them i said "what the hell is up with the control panel! it looks weird!"

ive never seen a control panel like that on these showcase cabs, so its going to be a tough one making it into a 2 player 6 button control panel...so here are some pictures of the cab itself...

and this is my work area, roof is very leaky so i have to watch out, we had a nasty rain out of nowhere yesterday but lucky me i was home so i covered them and continued working 5 hours later...

my plans for this machine is to put it out in location as a PS3 Marvel vs Capcom 3 since there is still no arcade hardware for this game and ppl have been asking for it where i work so my boss gave me cash and bought the cab....i plan to install competition style happ buttons and joysticks since customers did not like my sanwa setup on our street fighter 4 cabs. My first idea was to buy a flat 32 sony TV and take it out from the case and somehow mount it on the cab but then my friend said why not a LCD and have it hooked up through HDMI...so we are mounting a 32inch samsung lcd...i hope all this comes out good...

I mamed an empty one I bought gutted and its turning out pretty well. Nice score!

looks like an atari showcase as well but the one with the speakers on the control panel...wonder why they did that....we had one just like that with maximum force....nice cab, you plan on making a bezel or something to cover up that tv? i used foam paper on a previous cab and used a dremel to cuz it perfect and turned out nice...

nice xmen cab on the right!

i just wish i had more tools for my cabs, all i got is a jigsaw, drill, dremel, and sander...

looks like i also need to order a but load of t-mold...any good places to order?

I am going to add the bezel back on once I'm done painting. It actually was a maximum force I couldn't stand not having a Mame cab so I hooked it up while I'm finishing it up. Gateway monitor fits perfectly.

Did anything come dedicated in the Showcase 33?

hmm, i dont think so, the flyer for the showcase 33 just says universal so im guessing you can make it to whatever you want...

but for the cab with the speakers on the control panel, dedicated ive seen gauntlet legends and maximum force...dont know if there is anymore....

the only thing i hate from the showcase cabs is that the control panel is a little too low, if you are 6 2 then it sucks with your back...after i raise the legs its ok but not the best, capcom big blue qsound cabs have the perfect height, does not hurt my back....ima try and figure out a way to make it higher

I have an empty Showcase 33 that was a Golden Tee. That game looks silly on that huge control panel. I am trying to figure out what to put in this beast.

I rebuilt the CP on my 33 showcase to make it smaller and am building a mame trackball cabinet out of it. The lower height makes it great for shuuz, shuffleshot, WCB, GT, etc..
