I like that thread about the minis so much, that I thought I'd start one about Bar tops.

Here are my 5. That wooden Bottom of the 9th is pretty clunky....

Anyone else have any dedicated or custom bartops they'd like to share?

I made this one out of scraps and spares:

The build thread:

It is really just a test bed, but I find myself playing it more than anything else lately. It got me to realize I needed a horizontal JAMMA cab in my collection, which led to deconverting my MAME cab:

NIce job! I think these are cool!

What's the silver machine next to the Gameroom Classics machine? A slot machine?

It looks cool!

I built this Stargate bartop when I couldn't find a nice machine locally. Once I moved it from the computer room to the gameroom, I built a base for it and turned it into a cabaret. It can still be unbolted from the base and reverted to bartop form.

Thanks!!

It's a 1910 nickel slot machine (just had its 100th birthday!) that my family has had since the 50's. It's a beautiful machine inside and works perfectly.

Also, that Apple][e on the left is my only Apple product :D

I want to build a bartop eventually, maybe in 2012. These look cool and are encouraging me to move forward. Thanks!

Made this for the wife's daycare. It gets beat up, crawled over, and abused but keeps ticking.

Made this for myself and eventually put some NOS 8 way wico's in it....feels great.

someone needs to make CNC kits for this type of bartop and folded metal control panels.
The LCD can be just shimmed in there for a 17" or 19"

All of the artwork could be in templates and people could print out their own graphics.

I would make modular sides so that you can dress it as a Nintendo, Midway or Taito profile.

Actually part of me wants to produce this as a kit.

I was wondering if there was ever a Show Us Your Bartops thread, and hey! I found one! from 2011!

I still have the same ones, but has anyone else bought/made more of them?

this is funny, because your the starter of the thread LOL

I am in the process of building one!

Here is one I made for my kids. These pics are before I put in the speakers. The control panel has also changed from the 6 button layout to a 4 button now.

I want to build one of these for my niece and nephew. My kid has his choice of many arcade games, but they have none. :004_ssad: I've got to start working on that soon if I'm going to have it ready and shipped by Christmas.

I really like that. Even though it doesn't look like a dedicated Stargate cabaret. What kind of monitor did you use?
