Show me your colored (non-black) t-molding :)

I'll warn against chrome. The chrome tmolding I used my my 720 boombox delaminated after a few years. Now I need to remove the box again and redo the molding. Will probably just use plain black this time. Or a grey if they make that.
Hmm, thanks, good to know. I had to use that on APB because that's what Atari originally used on that game — although no doubt the currently available stuff is probably of lower quality than the original Atari stuff. But maybe I'll do something different for Afterburner then so I don't temp fate too badly.

I mean, it's a minor deal on most games, but it's a pain on the 720 boombox. So I sure won't use it again.

The newer foil t-molds I have had recently were trash. Trying to delam during install. It really does seem to matter where you get those from.

Delaminated? Or do you mean you finally took off the protective Mylar film?
Dude, you should know better. No, not the freaking installation plastic. I mean the silver plastic has come off of the underlying molding in places. I don't know if it's all made this way, but the chrome I got (from tmolding dot com, I'm sure) is kindof like a silver foil sticker attached to clear or white tmolding.

Well, all the chrome molding I've ever had just had a protective mylar layer over the chrome that you could peel right off. Sounds like times have changed.

The problem with foil is it has a different modulus of bending than plastic, so the tight turns you make on a typical run will cause popping.

This thread was inspired by @DLP 's new acquisition - Stern Astro Invader with ORANGE tmolding.
I like it. What say you all? Yey or nay?

Green on Galaxian... that reminds me... I do have a Galaxian, but I seem to remember the ones that I played back when Galaxian first came out having blue t-molding, so when I cleaned up my Galaxian a couple years ago, I went with blue t-molding.

I bought my Galaxian with it already having light blue.
But yes, both Pac-Man and Rally-X shipped official from Chicago with orange T-molding.

Some like it. Some don't. Let's start. :)
Some are mine; some are not.
Some I like; some I don't.
