I know that I can't be the only guy who's filling his arcade with other random coin-op junk?!
SHOW KLOV YOUR CANDY AND GUMBALL MACHINES!

Recently I've been picking up gumball machines since they're still coin-op but much smaller, and stumbled onto a really cool old candy machine! Its been alot of fun cleaning up these old grimy machines and making them shine and work!! They were filthy nasty eww, now they are very clean and usable all with some elbow grease, cleaner spray, water and metal polish!

The large blue colored machine is a 1950's STONER brand Candy/Univendor Machine which holds 6 slots of 20 candy bars each for a nickel! I got it in an interesting trade...

The glass square domed gumball machine is a 1950's Atlas Penny and Nickel machine. I bought it from the same guy I got the Stoner machine from...

Last but not least is the green machine which is a 60's Acorn Penny gum ball machine. Snagged this baby with the stand that the Atlas machine is sitting on from a thrift store for $10!!

I plan on having easily a dozen cool, unique, and plain gumball machines around the house, here's my start!

Very cool machines. How are you going to make any money if you dont fill them up:D

Here's a 1947 Stoner Jr. I did over about 2 years ago.
Very nice! I'm not the only Stoner guy at least! :D
I'm trying to figure out if I have a 120 model or a Junior... leaning towards 120 but haven't seen anything online that nails it down. I've decided to leave my original finish and petina on it and just cleaned the living crap out of everything and took the mechanism/candy assembly out and steam cleaned it and blew it out with air. I got a bottom mirror (haven't put it on), installed the reproduction main glass, and picked up a much nicer original mirror for the top.

I really like the dual Stoner Theater model but haven't seen much online about it... are there any Stoner sights out there? Where are all the oddball coin-op crap websights for gumball and candy machines like klov?

LOL, I lose money, but its all good! :) I had the green machine full of gumballs, I bought 3 lbs. I think and went thru them in a couple of months.

The older 50's square globe gumball I haven't found gumballs or candy that fits in its gigantic trays. The screw is frozen in there and I don't want to destroy it to remove the adjustment screw. On a penny dispense its cool for Reese's Pieces cause its a nice hookup, but on a nickel with 5 full turns its overflowing your hands like crazy and all over the floor! I need to find just the right size gumball and probably use the green machine for my Reese's!

Basically just need to decide what to refill 'em with.

Was working on the Stoner machine before I went to CAX, got it working and spic and span but didn't know what to put in it. Started with Rice Crispy squares, then at Walmart the other night I bought the peanut butter cups, Twix and Kit-Kat... haven't decided on what to put in the last two slots on the Stoner.

Those candy machines are cool! Stoner brand and it sells muchies? :cool2:
Dude, I was sold when I heard it was a STONER brand, like the eyes like a 16 year old looking at his first car while I'm staring at this old piece of crap in the corner of a buddies garage... but she cleaned up damn nice and its PERFECT when you got the munchies for a Nickel (currently on freevend!!)

It's a Stoner 120, but also considered a Jr. because of the 6 pulls. The full size one or 180 has 8 pulls, not quite as desireable because of size, but still cool. The older Jr, like the one I showed was a little shorter. Notice under the mirror where yours has the embossed "Fresh Candy". You also have the good base with the locking door. You might want to check out http://soda-machines.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=29 they have a forum for antique vending machines. It can be hard to sign up, but contact BubbaK here on KLOV, he is an admin there, or contact administrator over there. It's definately not KLOV style over there.:) Good helpful people there though.

LOL, the 60's Stoner candy machines have a nice badge on the front that says "S T O N E R" right next to your candy selections! :) I saw a green one years ago, I would have gotten it for the laughter factor of it but just didn't care at the time.

You need some sugar candy like the little boxes of Nerds or some sweet tarts.
Hell yeah! I used to love Nerds as a kid, not much of a Sweet Tart fan I always preferred the Spree. I saw the boxes of Nerds at the store the other night... didn't pick them up. Since its the last two I figure non-chocolate.

Who loves 'nerds' the candy and who hates them?

Here's my Ford gumball:

Here's the custom marquee I printed out for it. (A spoof of the Kiwanis Club that you'd often see)

I really love those old Fords... what era/timeframe were those in? I've seen what looks to be reproduction, but if I like to know what I'm looking at. What is the going rate for those little Fords like that?

Ford Gumball was around since the 30's but I think these types were produced 50's-60's maybe 70's. I could be off though.
Plenty pop up on Ebay. They seem to go $50 to over $100.

Crap I thought I had a good pic of my Gumball machine after I finished it but the pics are on my computer at home.Anyway this is what it says on the front. Some of you may have seen it before.Scored 3 of them from Longshot.Enjoy!
