I wasn't really a fan of this game, but for $50 I could prob find some fun out of it.

"Arch Rivals Arcade Game. Full Size. Needs Work.
It used to work great. I had it unpluged for a year and now it won't start up. Should be an easy fix?
$50 Firm!"

Looks like the cab used to be something else...

yup and convert back to battle toads or rampge whatever it was

Im actually looking at getting this one now too. I really was hopin I could change out the control panel to an nba jam one and throw in the jam pcb and go. Is that possible? Im still very new to these arcades but if thats something thats possible I'd like to do that. NBA Jam is one of those games I just HAVE to own

I'd buy almost any decent game under $100. As long as I like the game or if the cabinet could be restored into something I enjoy.

Yeah im pretty sure im going to grab it. Theres nobody close to me with nba jam of any kind so figure ill just have to make my own. No idea where I need to go though after i get the cabinet and nba jam pcb. Any tips from anybody of what ill need to make this happen?

I had an arch rivals kitted into gaunlet. I think the cab was converted to jamma and then the arch rivals had an interface pcb that it plugged into. So there is a chance the cab might be jamma.

If not, your going to need to gut it..

Check the monitor before you buy it. If it has horrible screen burn, your probably going to spend more finding a monitor for it..

Yeah I was told the monitor and marquee lights work fine. But the game itself wont work. I'd like to figure out whats wrong but if I can just throw nba jam in there and get it running them im happy with that

and another member finds out why you never post questions about a possible game that is priced super low on your local craigslist....

cause you usually get beaten to it or drive up the prices auction style!

Its been in our local CL for like over 2 months for the same price, haha. His post is even that old.

I have the same game. A converted Rampage cab into a Arch Rivals. I have collected most of the stuff to convert it back to a Rampage, but I do like Arch Rivals also. I got a bonus also when I got the cab. It still have the Rampage Manual and Schemetics still in the pocket on the back door of the cab.

I'd say keep at is the Arch Rival, it was a fun game, and if you get it working, there's always someone looking for that game. If I ever find one around here, you bet your ass I'd get it. At $50, I'd be picking that up before I take my morning piss, that's how quick I'd move on it.
