I have 4 video games placed in my Laundromat which is open from 7am to 12am.

Donky kong
APB
Popeye
Black widow

My question is should i leave the games on all night (12am to 7am) or put them on a times that turns them on and off?

Thanks guys.

I have 22 on in my store from 11am to 8 pm every day. It does make stuff go bad more often I think. I keep my vectors at home though, I wouldn't keep a Black Widow on like that. I wouldn't leave em on all night...

I pulled all my most valuable (to me) games out of our big game room where they're gonna be on like 10 hours a day. only exceptions were the DK and PlayChoice-10, and that's only because they actually make money in there. helps if you've recapped the monitors and I suppose the power supplies too... I'll have to do that on both of those one day.

I've found the most problematic symptom of leaving them on is monitor issues.

It is a bit of a myth that machines only die at the point they are turned on, plenty will die while they are running. Also leaving the machine on for weeks/months just cycling through attract mode is going to give you fairly nasty screen burn after a while. They were never designed to run for long lengths of time just in attract mode, if a game ended up doing that then it was not earning any money and so was removed. Most sited machines were turned off overnight and saw a fair bit of play in the day, when the players faded away the game got retired.
