Should I even try to fix this Omega Race mainboard?
Please see the attached pictures. I got this board some time ago when I needed to find a replacement soundboard for my Omega Race UR. The set of boards I got had this pretty good looking mainboard. It has a lot of work done to it by another tech. As you can see, all of the acid has been cleaned up. Several new sockets have been added. I spent a night completing the ROM set, adding an x/y adjustment pot, and populating the empty sockets with parts from a trashed board. After this I put it into my machine and I was greeted with four flashing 1-4up start buttons and a coin counter that was running wild. Is it worth it to try and go further? I have a couple of extra chips from the trash board, and I feel that my working board may be on borrowed time.
No, I did not send this through the dishwasher
