I got a call from someone today that has a near mint Battlezone for super cheap. The game does nothing at all except for the coin mech lights. I hate dealing with vector games but I am on the fence with this one and I really want it but don't want the headache of trying to figure out it's issue. I'm sure someone here can help me get it running eventually. Should I do it??

Buy>Fix>Sell>Cash

If you could get a lot for it I would have sold mine a while ago. Mine was working now plays blind I just don't have the freaking time to mess with not high on the priority list.

Should I ask how much super cheap is?

I have always heard that they are difficult to fix or diagnose and the boards are near impossible to get or pricey. It's not one of my grails or anything but I always thought it was a really cool game.

That's not bad I paid $60 for my cabinet with boards and no monitor like $80 for the monitor then a cap kit and countless hours trying to get it working better.

I paid $300 for a cab in similar condition...

Battlezone is a PAIN IN THE ASS... but it's worth it IMHO.

Whats with the super light gray writing?? It's VERY hard to read your posts without highlighting them.

I have a b&w vector monitor with me if you end getting it and need a monitor, maybe Ill trade the vector monitor plus cash for the rastan?

I honestly have no Idea why it would be like that looks white on my screen an I can read it fine. I went back and tried to change the text color on my posts.

That is the problem... it's WHITE (I thought it may be the lightest gray but no... it's white). The "stock" background on KLOV is gray... your white text on gray makes your text unreadable. You need BLACK text.

How is this for a deal.

I have a working Battlezone in a 'C' condition cab... Pass this on to me and let me keep my working boardset and swap cabinets and you can have the complete non-working game for nothing.
