I have an operator friend that just picked up in a trade deal a dedicated upright Super Cobra. He says that it is the nicest one he's seen since they were new. He is going to 60 in 1 it but he always gives me first crack at classics before he converts them.

Should I try to save this one? How much should I offer? How much is it worth? I've never played Super Cobra... Is it fun?

Thanks in advance for any input!

Please, please, please save this Super Cobra from the evil clutches of your "friend".

Super Cobra is an awesome game. Definitely worth saving. Offer $300... take it at $350.

Great game. Just like Time Pilot and Zaxxon, I don't think Super Cobra gets the love it deserves and prices reflect that. $350 is probably the high end for it, but I think its worth it if its as nice as they're saying.

a classic in great shape is always worth saving....its a decent game...if you decide you don't like it, you could re-sell it fairly easily.....also, you can throw in a scramble or time pilot board for a quick and easy game change....go for it!

Yeah, I hate to see it go down the 60 in 1 path... I'm gonna offer him $350 for it and see where it goes.

Thanks all!

Okay. He wants $400. I haven't seen it but he says it's "mint". His mints are usually a 8 or a 9. So I think I'll grab it.

Thanks again.

Super Cobra is the sequal to Scramble (same font on the marquee and both made made by Stern). Think of it as an enhanced Scramble that is harder -- it is a really hard game on the higher levels. But I like that so I would definitely recommend you pick it up!

I had a cocktail super cobra. I suggest you go over there, play it for about an hour, by then you will have finished all ten levels, and you won't want to own it anymore.

How shall I put this......OH HELL YES BUY IT! I love Super Cobra and Scramble too. I have one in my shop right now converted to Scramble, plus a stack of (sadly) non-working board for both games. I wish I knew what happened to the Super Cobra CP I used to have........

Buy, buy, buy. It is a great game and there are a bunch of other great games that will plug right into the wiring harness. Scramble, Time Pilot, Time Pilot 84', Super Basketball, and like 50 others. In my board collecting days my Konami wired boards probably got the most play of anything I owned.

If you buy it, do it for the minty cab and not the game. I think you'll get bored of it quick. Get some good Konami games like Gyruss or Rock n Rope to use in it.

Dare I ask?

What about Berzerk?

I'd love to get a Berzerk or a Frenzy!

Berzerk/Frenzy are totally different connections than the Konami pinout. You would have to transfer all the guts from a Berzerk and install it in that cab to play it.

I have a really nice scramble cabinet with the spaceman side art I am thinking of selling.
They are great cabinets and there is an adapter to easily put in a 60-1 and you don't have to hack it up.

The Super Cobra arrived last night. It is redonculously clean. It was either pulled off location early in it's life or maybe never was on location. Really, really nice!

It sure is tiny though...

Thanks everyone for talking me into getting this one!
