I did a Buy-It-Now on ebay a month ago, I finally got my items.
From the picture and description, what do you think this should be?

instead today i received a ink-jet copy on vinyl. It isn't masked or die cut. Should I be pissed, because for some strange reason I am.....
I emailed the seller and so far they havent emailed me back.

You have every right to be pissed and the seller will probably tell you the price you paid for it was a good deal

I would be pissed. That isn't even the same item, any respectable seller should know that what they described and pictured isn't what they sent. Just report it to PayPal and send it back.

The pic is misleading=lying, yet he mentions nowhere that it's screened, diecut, masked, who it's from, etc..

I would have asked questions before buying, but I'm extra cautious, because people do this all the time.

you will win this based on the pic with ebay (grab it before he deletes it).

If the guy had put the acual photo up and you bought it, you would have been SOL.

yes you should be and as a seller on ebay #1 to me is keep the buyer happy and dont pull any fast ones or sell anything that might be of question. all you have to do is file a item not as described and you will get our money + shipping back pretty much no questions asked.

yeah... definately not what i would have thought i was buying. looks like the seller grabbed someone elses pic instead of taking a new one. HOWEVER- he seems like a decent seller who deals in lots of games... hopefully he will be cool.

turbogay

Actually, there is a common misconception at work here. Pictures have absolutely NO bearing on eBay dispute policies. Description is all that matters. Go ahead, go see for yourselves.

Since this listing does not specifically state the item pictured is what you will receive, nor any mention of premask, die cut, or any indication of quality other than "brand new," you're SOL. It's "brand new," all right - "brand new printed off his inkjet."

While I feel your pain, this is a perfect case of : Buyer Beware.

So, when you contacted the seller wishing to return the purchase due to incorrect description what did he say?

No, there's also the fact that one being vague on purpose.

If you don't detail your items, and say "Item may not be as pictured", one is to assume it IS what is pictured.

I did contact the seller, I was polite and told them I wasn't happy with what I got compared to what the picture showed and would like to resolve it.
So far, no response. I understand people dont check their email every hour or two, so I can wait a day to get a reply.
I just felt that it was totally misleading, especially when it took almost a month to arrive. The seller told me that they were pretty busy and didnt have time to ship it and that they paid over 65.00 dollars for the set, so I got a "great deal" and hold tight.
As soon as I get an email and find out what they are going to do, I will post an update.

I noticed the 3-4 days shipping in the ad right away. I would have been filing a complaint from that alone. Not as described...picture says a thousand words! File your dispute. They WILL read that email promptly.

How long does paypal give you to file a dispute? Im worried they waited a month to ship it so you cant file a dispute. Hope not though.

wait, so how do I use this intralweb thing?

What part of "PHOTOS ARE MEANINGLESS!!!" is not being grasped here?

It was as DESCRIBED, you are screwed.

You think stock photos are provided as a seller service to entrap buyers? Read words.

Just to reiterate for the truly dense : >>>PICTURES ON EBAY ARE IRRELEVANT<<<
