Shock in Tron handle

I used to get a shock from mine too. Not the handle so much as the screws that hold the handle halves together. It only happened if I was playing in socks or bare feet on a concrete floor. Make sure your cord has a ground pin and that the ground strap is hooked up to the control panel. Replacing the cord is what fixed mine....

Tron and other Mcr's like spyhunter always seem to have ground issues(yellow wires missing). If the ground wire that goes to the control panel is missing then maybe you are getting a buildup charge that is grounded through you when you touch it. Do the controls sometimes get sketchy and then after touching the underside of the joystick mech under the cp it seems to get better? Had this problem and was missing ground wire to cp.

Check for continuity in the ground connections even if they're attached.

The ground wires are more like flat metal strips and they can break. I had one near the coin door that was broken inside the insulation so not immediately visible.

Hmmm... I'm wondering if this is what's causing my coin door light issue?

BTW, this thread made me think of THIS:
