I have 4 machines that I need shipped from up North down to Texas. 3 are new cabinets and one is a complete game. I need some suggestions on who people are using to get these things moved around. Help????

you should specify if up north means canada..

If its 4 games, you moght want to consider road trip as $1k+ om shipping will tend to kill it.

Yeah, with 4 it could be cheaper to do it yourself or hire out someone who can get them all in their truck bed rather than paying $200+ per game for the delivery.

It would help a lot if you specified origin and destination.

A roadtrip could be a lot of fun, especially if you publisize it enought to get some point to point hauling along the way. There are some epic road trip threads written by people that have done this.

Origin = my house.. zip 43457 Destination = Aggies place, Frisco TX. I had a guy going to do it for under 500 but his house caught fire and he isn't hauling anytime soon.

He probably wasn't good at math either. That is a 2200 mile round trip. At 20 miles to the gallon that would cost 440 bucks just for gas. It becomes way more workable if you can get some return cargo.

I'll be more specific...DPt is correct on the start the destination is 75034 or 1000 miles. Not really interested in a road trip. DP did me new pac, ms pac and cliffy cabs and I'm buying a robotron from him thats redone. Even though 3 of the 4 will be empty they will still weigh a little bit and I don't want them scratched.

I'm not worried about the cost just looking for someone thats shipped them before and takes care of them on the road.

20 miles to the gallon might be a little high if someone is hauling 4 games. My Jeep pulling my enclosed trailer will get around 16 mpg. With the cost of fuel and a hotel room $500 might cover those costs. I just figured it out from where I live and the price of gas being $4.00 a gallon, might be a little cheeper, and the fule would cost me $606.25 round trip. So figure $600 for gas $60 for hotel plus what the person would be willing to give up a couple of days for and you are getting close to $1000.

What kind of price have you gotton from shipping companys?

Haven't called any yet I was looking for recommendations from anyone thats used one for shipping games.

Actually he was good at math. He's one of the people that hauls in the uship network, and he's picked up a game at my house before. They haul multiple items and schedule for the same area, to make it cost effective.

I did my original calculations based on the 13 or so I get with my flatbed, but I feared someone with a brand new truck would chime in so I just went with that mileage instead.

You can save a lot of money if they are picking them up with and have other shipments going the same way. Thats why the $500 sounded so cheep, he was adding other shipments in the same time and could cut costs.

Is he one of the guys on the show?
