Let's start a serious discussion on shipping whole games.

I've always thought you needed to pay out the arse for parcel freight, or go with a van line company, and either way, you're talking about $500+ for even short trips. Is this really the only option, short of picking it up yourself?

I just set up a shipment for a game through NAVL/STI from Illinois to me, in Nevada for $387. Depends on who you call.

I'm pretty sure there's a delivery company out of LaLa Land, that will deliver 400lb. cabinets anywhere for next to nothing. They are happy to lose money on fuel, and pay the drivers in fairy dust and the customer's smiles.

Thank you. Sometimes I find it so difficult to laugh while I'm at work. Well played.

There are a lot of factors when shipping games that will change the price dramatically:

-Door to door
-Terminal pickup/drop off
-Crated/ needs pallet
-Forklift on site / lift gate needed
-etc

Yikes, angry much? LOL :)

Anyway, +1 on SpeeDee delivery. They handle the entire upper midwest for a good rate. Otherwise for nationwide LTL you could try contacting your local lawn & garden retailer, they ship LTL all the time for their garden tractors & snowblowers.

Hm...my sarcasm may have been a bit harsh. I actually laughed at your comment too. No worries.

After all, there's no cheapskates on KLOV, right?

Same - I just didn't want to offend the OP - I have been in his shoes. A million miles from my dreams. Yeah and right on with the cheap ass comment, I'm certified grade-C - I usually just try to get bulk pricing on a single item. lol
