I light of that poor wrapping (_NONE_) can i give him bad feedback?

Yes, that would be an "Item not as received" claim with Paypal. Talk to the seller, and show him the pics.

I don't see how people can consciously just throw crap in a box! I may be slower in shipping, but I wrap/pack stuff in an oversize box and bubble wrap everything.

Yes, that is absolutely pathetic. It is bad enough to do that with just a PCB, but add in a big heavy hard drive to bounce around.... That is total BS.

I had a guy ship me a board in an oversize box...with a single sheet of newspaper around the board. He promised a refund after feedback hostage taking. I gave him feedback and sent the board back...then he cut off communication.

Months later, I see the board up on ebay again, and the guy had the nerve to insinuate it worked. I wrote him and reminded him about the refund, and that I would be contacting ebay and bidders as to his fraud. I promptly got a refund.

P.S. It was a punk kid.

If your going to half ass it, atleast put SOME kind of protection. Anything I sell on ebay and the like has no movement at all. You could easily fix that board though, I mean its easy to bend the pins back and resolder the cap.

Not necessarily.

Check ALL the pins on the big surface mount chips to see if they are bent at angles, popped loose, or bent over and shorted against pins next to them.

It might not be an easy fix. Bumping those big SMT chips can pop pins loose where you won't even be able to see them being loose.

I once had a seller ship me a nice Neo-Geo board, with games in the slots. He bubblewrapped it and made it all nice, except the games shook loose and rattled inside the bubble wrapped board. Luckily everything worked but I still emailed the guy to let him know.

that looks like a bill burger packing job :)

That's why his auctions state "TESTED WORKING NON jamma board as pictured SOLD WITH NO WARRANTY OR RETURNS"
Geez at least he could say, "Due to the nature of this item I can not be held responsible for the possibility of an incorrect installation therefor this item is being sold AS IS with no warranty."

even with a AS-IS sale the buyer can get a refund. There was a posting here about it. Except the seller was a member and got screwed big time!

In this case, the seller will get screwed. DONT'T MENTION THAT YOU TRIED TO STRAIGHTEN THE LEGS! throw them in the box and say it was that way.

As is doesn't count when you don't pack and ship prudently.. It becomes willful neglect when you do not ship the item appropriately an you will get a refund.

I bought a blitz kit got it yesterday and the shipper shipped it with the harddrive loose in the metal cage with the pcb. Bent pins everywhere and of course the board oesnt work just makes my cabs speakers hum. Not sure why a little extra care couldnt have been taken.
