I've never been involved in shipping a game before. A cabaret from Sacramento to Vegas...any thoughts on who to use? I can pick up at Shipper if it saves a few bucks. Any estimates on cost for shipping a cabaret? Palletize? Thx guys for help.

How is this subject not in a sticky. I swear it's been addressed countless times.

Just looking for anyone that would want to offer current info & help a guy out. Was driving and it hit me to ask at a red light. I can do the research later. Sometimes this is faster.
Move along if it bothers you.

That's 20 seconds of searching. It doesn't bother me so much that you're asking, but there are literally a dozen threads about this that can be found easily.

I do remember Michelle being mentioned in the past with NAVL. They no longer ship games but she's working with another shipper. If anyone has any tips or other advice please share.

Thx for sharing the info. Next step will be calling Michelle.

I had a few game shipped by Michelle recently.
Way cheaper than the few other shippers I got quotes from

I recently had Michelle coordinate shipping a full size cab from San Jose up to Portland and it was $358. Easy process, they are insured and give tracking info after pick up. Couldn't have been smoother.

Whatever you do, ensure the game is palleted (with a pallet larger than the largest part of the game) and wrapped. These are minimums to ensure the game arrives safely. Some shippers don't do this or even try to protect the game.

I know Michelle has a great reputation for helping us with shipping our games, but remember that she isn't personally transporting the game, she just sets everything up. I just shipped a fully restored tron through her 2 weeks ago, I was going to pallet, shrink wrap, cardboard corners , and blanket wrap the game, but the buyer wanted it insured for the full purchase amount so since it was to be insured, he was told that the shipper would need to see it to verify condition and they would wrap it for safe transport.

When it got to him, it only had 1 layer of shrink wrap and had 1 blanket thrown over the top. There were 4 spots of significant damage when he got it. Now he is going through trying to file a claim for the damages. Like I said, Michelle and Judy are great to deal with, but they are not personally transporting your stuff. I will never ship another game without palletizing and wrapping it myself,no matter what the shipping company says.
