Shipping - a pcb in a soft mailer...

I think it would be fine it the pcb were surrounded in 1/8" (or greater) thick steel.

poor wolf unit. It would be acceptable if there was a box in that bag but i'm guessing that wasn't done by the local rat?

I'd consider that very poor packing for a pcb. Harness? Fine. PCB? Hell no, I would have issues to vent about that.

At least a nice sandwich of bubble wrap & heavy cardboard would have protected the board, and fit in the mailer...

It really is surprising what little thought some folks put into things. Even if it's sold as non-tested or non-working...everyone knows the postal service will randomly beat the crap out of our stuff, and a PCB can't take that shit. Even more surprising that it's someone on here.

My GF attempted that once when I asked her to ship a pcb for me. Luckily I spoke with her on the phone while she was at the post office. I couldn't believe she was gonna try something like that. I was pissed. She did box it up after an ass chewing
