I'm selling my Shilmover 8-1 multi pacs with HSS kits. I have 2, one in my machine one has never been installed.

The Ms Pacman gameplay is not correct in this kit, its pretty minor but real gamers will notice it and it is quite frustrating to true pac masters. I would keep them but both people I have contacted involved in development pretty much blew off the bug as, noone complaining, no bug.

$85 each, shipped.

Question

Hi, just wondering what is different with Ms PAC? I have the kit and am happy with it, but I'm not a PAC expert. Also is the 96 in 1 more accurate?
Thanks

The main issue is the lack of 'tunnel creep' http://mametesters.org/view.php?id=4251

It makes tighly grouping the ghosts much more difficult. I dont know if the 96-1 is more accurate, I have not tried one yet. I do know that the 4-1 rom swap from souzaolnine seems to have the same issue in another local collectors machine. The menu system and high score saves seem VERY similiar and I suspect they share the same code flaws that cause this bug.

I asked about how to get the reworked chip for it. Did you ever get that after the initial release? Haven't hear back. I know he said he's been quite busy. He hasn't posted for over a month.

No. We are part of the same collector group and I couldnt even get the guy to ship me a screen I had bought and paid for . After a month he finally refunded my money when I set a hard deadline to file a complaint with paypal.

RAM controls anyone?

What exactly is a "PAC Master" in your mind Ken?

Knowing that "Multi - Kits" can NOT be used for World Record Attempts, any bug that a "PAC Master" runs into is pretty much a mute point.

"RAM Controls" Totally uncalled for and VERY childish of you to say.

Not all multi kits are excluded from record attempts. Aurcade.com will accept records with kits as long as the gameplay is not detect-ably different than the original game on original hardware (the kit and revision would of course be noted in the record archive) So, its not moot.

*EDIT* not appropriate

I know you gotta stick up for Barry because he's in your group but dont lose sight of the facts because of it.

Ken,

Comparing me to RAM Controls is a douche bag move.

RAM Controls is a known scammer who used multiple aliases to con hundreds of people tens of thousands of dollars.

I released a multipac that you found a bug over a month after you recieved it and got your panties in a knot that I did not cancel my life to get it fixed for you immediately.

As for the monitor, yes, I should have shipped it sooner. Life (tm) got in the way and it was my bad. In fact, I should never bought them for the locals as I did it as a favor at cost and ended up losing over $100 on them. I guess that makes me a huge scammer and con artist?

I told you about the potential for this bug very early in development. I brought it up a few times in email threads back and forth, of course I have those archived.

Not sending me the screen was a Douchbag move. Dont cry me a river about you losing money, thats not my problem. I paid for the product, you failed to deliver. Its pretty simple actually.

well without siding with either party it is clear that this is NOT a for sale thread. (and was never intended to be) It should be moved to one of the feedback sections.

This is actually a for sale thread. It started that way and got derailed.

They are for sale $85. each Shipped.

Whatever Ken.

I will not be posting on this thread again.

BTW, if anyone purchases this kit from Ken, I will be happy to support it as if I sold it to you directly.

Sounds like someone is trolling.

Was I trolling? I like to stick my nose in others peoples business with the best of them but I do my best to refrain and work off of factual information with a little tron guy twist.

No, I was referring to the OP. I posted that before I saw your response....which was right on target.

If you read the original post and the follow up post I kept it simple and to the facts.

For sale, has bug no one will likely notice. The RAM comment may have been a bit out of line if you dont know all the facts so I can see how it looks bad. When this thread drops off the radar I will repost with just the original post and keep my responses to questions in PM so I dont go talking out of frustration as come off wrong.

*edit*

See I did it again.

ONLY because my kit was mentioned, am I replying to this thread.

The 96 in 1 Pac game-play is exactly as the original, with the original "slides" patterns, etc.
