Shill bid?? I'm thinking so but you decide...

Those were DJ DNS' listings. A highly reputable seller here and eBay. I'm one of the many happy customers. A straight shooter.

Well shit, I have some extra Tron control panels I'll sell for $400!!! I'll even put a new overlay on em!!!! :D

I've never seen a Tron marquee or control panel sell for that much, hence the suspicion of shilling.

I agree the bids are a bit high.BUT

NOTHING BUT RESPECT FOR THIS SELLER.
I have been to his house and spent a lot of cash multiple times.

Items shipped or picked up either way he takes care of you.

I've bought from this seller before as well...

Nothing but good things to say about him!

I doubt that it's a shill bid, more like a stupid bid - never bid that much that early, it's only going to cost more in the end - learn how to snipe and buy 5 secs before the auction ends!

Darryl would not have someone shill bid for him.

He is an asset to the hobby.

I agree, Darryl is a good guy on these boards, I didn't know that was him. Just found those bids on Tron parts a little fishy but it could of easily been somebody screwing around with his sales.

I just got word of this post from a friend. Yes this was mine and sorry you have the wrong guy if you think I tried to bid up my own auction. I would never bid on my own items. If I needed certain amount I would put a reserve on it. When it comes to ebay and my items, what I start the item at is the least I would take for it. Things like this does happen when 2 people throw out a high bid to guarantee a win. Might want to do a search here for a Nos Galaga 88 marquee. Same sh.. happen with it. Also a Nos Pacmania marquee that had a buy it now price on it for $75. Someone put a bid on it and then that $75 turned into more than double after the auction was done. Yes this guy paid for all the Tron items. Was it to much, yes I would say so, would you ever see others sell for those prices, doubt it. This was an auction were you never know what will happen.

Hey that's cool, glad it was legit sale for ya. You're right, these kinda prices aren't the norm for these items.

Back in the day when I was selling my nintendo collection I was getting ridiculous prices for very common games. Sometimes it just happens that you have two people that are insanely crazy bidders on a more common item. It's a good problem to have. :)

I've bought from DJ DNS a few times before. And, IMHO, he's level.

The thing with eBay is this: It's :eek:Bay.

And with all the crazy stuff happening on :eek:Bay (bid wars, bid busters, snipers, and schillers) your bound to see a few crazy prices.

Congrats on your big sale DJ
