I have a Blasteroids that I had taken apart to restore. When I took the monitor out, it was working very well with nice colors and clear picture. As we all know, once you take things apart, be prepared to fix a couple things when you put it back together.

Anyway, my Sharp XM-2001N monitor picture is now all screwed up. The picture is now angling in from top to bottom. Like \ / this. The convergence is way off as well. There are three rocks shown on the screen. One blue, one red and one green. Basically three of everything.

Any ideas?

You've done one of these things:

Knocked the yoke loose/cockeyed.

One or more of the 3 black rubber wedges under the edge of the yoke has fallen out.

I did hear something pop when I first powered it up. Just seems odd that the picture would still be working if a cap or something else popped.

I understand 100% what he said. I was making sure there was nothing else I should look for to be sure. Thanks for the input. I'll mess around with the yoke.

Well, messing with the yoke does not fix my problem. I can't get it anywhere near straight no matter how much I move it.

Any other ideas?
