The monitor in my Mario Bros cab was flickering bright then dull then back to normal. Was told by a few people this meant the flyback needed replacing. I picked up a new flyback a couple months ago from Chad (ArcadeCup) and finally got around to installing it last night but didn't have a chance to test it out until tonight. Now when I power the game up I get nothing. Nothing on the monitor. No boot-up sound. The coin door lights do come on so I know the cab is getting power. I tested the B+ and got a reading right about 75v but adjusting it did nothing. What might have happened? Any ideas?

Hi Ben I sent you an email covering one possibility.

there are also 2 larger watt resistors that develope near open / halo solder joints.. those could have opened up more from chassis handling..

again though, check your scr controller ic and even a possible bad scr.

thanks.

Chad.

Yeah, thanks Chad. Got your email earlier then passed out for a bit. I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow. To see what's up. Between myself and a buddy in town I think we'll be able to trace this down.
