Hey Guys

I recently got a PC10 and it needs a Cap Kit. I pulled the monitor tonight just to confirm it's model and it turned out to be the Sharp XM 2001M 19"

Bob Roberts and Arcade shop both list this as an Atari Monitor yet it's in a Nintendo I guess it's not a big deal but wondered if this was particularly odd or anything.

Has any worked on one of these and do you have any tips.

It's compressing vertically on the top and bottom of the screen. It's lost more than 1/2 the height from the top and bottom. Obviously it's set to hor since it's a PC10.

Thanks ahead for any tips.

It is common, and called fold over. It is fixed with a cap kit. Basically it is an Atari monitor, but it can be used in a Nintendo without any problems.

Keep in mind that it runs on 100vac not 120vac. You should verify that your B+ is 108vdc after your cap kit is complete.

I just accidentally knocked one of these (with a dead chassis) off of a cart in my storage unit on Tuesday and smashed the neck....

You need to cap it and clean the dust off the flyback & it's cage. Flybacks are no longer available for this model.

This monitor needs to be operated from an isolation transformer. Do not connect to a wall outlet.
