Here is the story and I'm stickin to it!

About a year and a half ago I picked up a Rush The Rock. One thing leads to another and before I got it home and plugged in... the freakin' neck ended up broken). Damn!
So I replace that monitor with another and all is well with Rush The Rock.
Meantime I look for a tube replacement for the chassis that was in the Rush the Rock. It's a Sharp Image mated up with a Sony Trinitron tube! Strange... I thought Trinitron tubes weren't used in arcade monitors? Anyway, I take the tube number and with some investigation determine a few models of Sony TV that used that tube... a few months later I find a local TV for $25.00 with a model number that is supposed to have the same tube and it does. W00t. What's even better is that the yoke number matched as well. NICE.
So I de-case the TV and move the tube+yoke over to the arcade frame, attach the chassis and fire it up.
The Good news: I get an image. It actually looks pretty damn good too overall (some pincushion but not terrible and it may be adjustable out)...
HOWEVER... the bad news:
(1) The sync is about as touchy as I've ever come across. I "CAN" sync, but there is ZERO room for error... even a tap of the pot causes sync issues. This CAN'T be right...there is usually some "play" when it comes to sync ... at least in my experience.
(2) The big problem is that the vertical hold won't stay locked. Just like the sync... the vertical hold is HAIR TRIGGER. I "CAN" get it to stay... for a couple minutes... then it'll start creeping... it's maddening. Again, like the sync... there usually is a little "wiggle room" where screen is "locked"... not so with this chassis.
Does anyone have any suggestions / ideas on how I can rectify these two issues. Issue 2 is much more important/urgent than issue 1. Whereas it will lose sync from time to time... it's nowhere near as often as losing vertical hold.
HELP.
Thanks!
