Well, I got my game up and running with help from the helpful people on this forum but at the 30 min mark the monitor blanks out. tried it the next day and same thing 30 min and blank screen. I have a cap kit to install but can not find a capacitor that was bad and was not included in the kit . 4.7 uf 50v HFNP(high frequency - non polar) .
I can find one but not the high frequency type. Also thought I would replace the flyback and I cant find a good cross-over number. The original # CT-9158 crosses to HR 46265 but I can't find one or another one it crosses to .Any help would be appreciated.

if you use a good quality 105c BP or NP cap you shouldn't have any problems. look for cold solder joints on that chassis because the couple i have worked on had alot of them.

Thanks, I will check the solder joints and try that cap along with the kit.

I just picked up a cabinet with a non-working SI-727R-DS, so I'm about to head down the road you're on. For starters, I'm assuming you've already found this repair document: http://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-monitors/Sharp Image SI727RDS Monitor Repair Guide.pdf

It has a complete breakdown of all the various parts and whatnot. Anyway, I began my search for parts and have found various cap kits for sale on eBay and some other places, but I decided to put together my own over at Mouser since I needed some other items as well.

As for the flyback, ArcadeCup.com sells them for $26.50. If you look at the flyback page, you'll find it 5th from the bottom listed under this model number: MRCFT-923C

If you search that model number on Google, you can get some more information about it, but it seems ArcadeCup might be the only one selling it...even on eBay, albeit more expensive than his own site.
