I'm trying to fix the monitor in an NFL Blitz I picked up for a friend. It's a 25" RCA EGA medium res monitor with a sharp image SI-325 chassis.

The main problem with the monitor was that the horizontal width would not increase enough to stretch to full screen. I thought at first that maybe this was because it was set to standard res, but I checked the dip switches and everything seems to be set for medium res.

I started to do a cap kit but realized I'd ordered the wrong one and it didn't have the right cap values to keep going. While inspecting the chassis I noticed that the diode at D903 was broken and mostly missing, like it had blown. In the schematics it says that D903 is "RU3" which is a part apparently mouser does not have. Can someone point me in the right direction to find the proper fit here? And also any other clues as to what may be wrong with monitor?

The RU3 is a fast recovery diode, it is a Japanese part, here are the important specs of it so I am sure you might be able to find a rough replacement for it.

Vrm = 400V
VF = 1.5V
IF = 1.5A
IFSM = 30A
IR = 10uA
Temp Rating = -40C to 150C

Thanks, that's helpful.

Looks like mouser doesn't have any similar kind in stock though. I wonder if the k7500 chassis I have has a similar diode that would work.
