I picked up a Sharp Image SI319 from a guy a while back, he said it worked great in his Dig Dug then "popped" - his words. All I know.

It actually looks like a G07 frame, with the SI-319 chassis mounted on it, and a nice clean tube. I guess someone did a proper swap at some point.

I'm re-capping it to see where I can get, and noticed where the power goes in "AC In - 100V". I have to wonder now how this was hooked up. Is it somewhat common to have a 100VAC monitor in a JAMMA cabinet or retrofitted into a classic? Could it have been possible that he had it running seemingly normally for a while, connected to 120VAC?

Thanks in advance.. wondering what might be bad on the chassis. Looked like most of the caps had been replaced at some point. No physical damage to the flyback, nothing obvious to me.

Thanks-

first time I'm hearing a Sharp Image requiring 100V.... I would've thought that was a universal piece of shit. lol

stranger things have happened. I think I read stories on here about K7000s that operated without an iso for a period of time, and others where 100V monitors lived off 120V for awhile too.

I'm going to lean towards things that generally go *pop* when an iso isn't present though, like HOT, diodes, etc.

Bumping this. I have been told that the guy thinks this came from a dedicated Capcom Bowling.

Also, I have found the manual for a SI-319S and it states that the monitor does not need an ISO. Well this XI-412 clearly requires one.

The lower voltage requirement could explain why when I plugged it into one of my jamma cabs, it immediately blew F602

So, 100 volts or not?

Thanx
