My chassis has pins for R G B Gnd H V (no mention of + or - I can discern). I'm not sure how to send the sync from the JAMMA harness to the chassis board correctly. Do I jump the sync to both H and V? I hooked it up only to H, got only a horizontal line of light, and immediately turned it off. Thought I better ask before I do some lasting harm.

Hooking up the sync isn't going to hurt anything. Try jumpering both horizontal and vertical. However, for regular JAMMA, the horizontal can take the composite signal. But a horizontal line of light, if the monitor is mounted horizontally is vertical collapse. Do you have your yoke connector plugged in?

A miswired sync will produce a rolling picture in the direction of the miswiring.

Yoke is plugged in, but there are two adjacent attachment points, just labeled "A" and "B." It was plugged in to "B" to begin with, so I left it there.
