Anyone know what the B+ voltage should be on a Sharp Image 628DS-R chassis on a 27" tube running @ 25khz (medium res) ?

Hmmm I wonder if that chassis was used with a 29" monitor given it's model #. Things that make you go hmmm.

The image isn't fitting on the screen, and I've heard that incorrect B+ voltage will cause this. Analog electronics, makes sense to me.

Measured from the resistors on the neckboard, using the ground on the neckboard as the ground.

210VDC.

YOWWWW!!!

130s should be better, no?

I just tested a different model Sharp Image / Kortek also in a Crusin' Exotica (27").

It was rocking high 160's on the B+ measured at the base of one of the ceramic resistors on the neck board.

With the brightness cranked up more, it reaches mid 170's.

The particular monitor starts to screen collapse, and the B+ power starts dropping.

The other chassis I'm trying to get working for the 2nd node (the 629DSR) can sit around 180s on the low B+ setting.

Friends are itching to battle on them, and it'd be interesting to do protocol analysis on the firewire link cable to see if it's possible to get them to play across the intarwebs.
