I have a Sharp Image 134ds - I ordered new caps for it but there were a number of oddball caps that were not listed correctly on the schematic or perhaps the factory didn't document variations between releases. So it took me a while to pick up the missing and different caps.

Either way after the cap job I am still seeing the sides of the screen bow in or hourglass on me.

Looking for advice on where to go next. I wasn't able to find a flow chart for this monitor.

Why are you going by the schematic, to just replace the caps.

I just put back what I take out..

and I don't have any problem.

if they are the original caps and never been replaced before.

the pin amp control board needs to be in place, connected good.

the transistor on the side of heat sink is the pin amp transistor

and the NP cap is part of the circuit in question.

confirm they are good.

There were a ton of caps on this board and the kit I ordered was built off of the schematics. When it showed up there were quite a few missing or wrong. So, in reality I did exactly what you are saying. I replaced like for like as I pulled them from the board. So, because of location, obstructions, and some had faded with age it took a while to figure out what individual caps I needed to order to complete my cap job.

The control board is firmly seated and the pots seem to do their job. I will check the transistor but I have replaced all of the caps already including the neck board and the little daughter card that is plugged into the main PCB. So, unless I got a bad one from the factory (I suppose that is possible) I should be good there.

i hope you let the place know where you bought the kit from so they will hopefully fix it so this doesn't happen to the next person that buys it. with all the modifications and versions of chassis with schematics that can be wrong this can happen, and i always work with people if i can't verify a kit myself on a chassis and if anything is wrong or short i send all the corrected or shorted caps for free to the customer for their trouble including the shipping. this way has always worked well for me so my kits rarely have any issues.

That is really awesome of you. I did indeed capture the delta and what the original caps were. I spoke with the seller and he did want me to send him the adjusted list including position numbers so that he could update his kit.
