I'm looking to scratch build a scale Shark Jaws cabinet and am collecting as much info as possible before getting started. I've found some plans from the original service manual and should be able to eyeball the rest from the few photos there are about.

Does anyone have any clear, straight on, high-res photos of the artwork? The bezel mainly. I'd be redrawing everything as vector so the clearer the better. I have several medium res images already but I'd be guessing some of the finer detail from those. If anyone is lucky enough to have a cabinet and could take a photo that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for any help!

These are not necessarily the best photos and the cabinet is dirty. But if you feel like the artwork on this particular machine is in good enough condition I can get you some better photos. Won't be today or tomorrow but could be in a few weeks. Let me know.

That's fantastic! Thanks very much for posting these, I'll be able to get started on most of the artwork.

If you happen to get a chance in the upcoming weeks it would be great to have a close up of the frogman from the bezel, the frogman from the side art, and a pic of the shark from the CPO. I think I have a problem with trying to get things 100% spot on.

It's very much appreciated just seeing these images.

Chewie will tell you to check out the Strong Museum (which I wholeheartedly recommend) , he's about to post.

I really wish repros of the logic boards would exist, as well as the joysticks. Those joysticks are used in a few games I could benefit from. Also Shark Jaws uses a reverb tank for it's audio. A neat feature.

You know me too well, lol.
Unfortunately the strong doesn't have that much on shark jaws, just some wiring & schematics.
Im sure you've seen the art for shark jaws on arcade 72, I forgot who here runs that but they're awesome.
For the font, it looks like Atari used Letraset's Frankfurter Std Normal. This tracks with a lot of other Atari games of the era using letraset fonts.
Other than that idk what to say other than I wish you luck and I wished more people had scanners for this kind of stuff.

Thanks both for the heads up on the Strong Museum. Is the deal that you'd request what information they have on a machine and a researcher would see what was available and possibly get you a scan for a fee? The archives don't seem to be readily accessible online. Looks like an amazing place to physically visit if I was in the neighbourhood.

I think I remember reading someone getting hold of some original side art screenprint separations for their project, perhaps it was here.

I did see the arcade 72 article, awesome site, I think that may be where I got most switched on to this game.

Final push to the end and it's almost compete.
Regarding t-moulding, I've seen it runs all the way down the back edges; does anyone with an original know if it also runs the full length of the bottom edges or just a short way under the bottom corners? Also, did these cabinets have a model/serial number panel on the back?

Looking great! Nice work.

Yes, 360º tmold
...and a proper logo-cut Atari tag.

\Thanks, this post for ref pics I finally fixed those bottom 'castors'.
Original 28mm gliders worn to the nail and beyond with shuffling around straight on the particle board. Easy decision for a flush/solid improvement with the (screw beats nail) 48mm grippers.

Thanks for these photos! I'd put rubber stoppers on mine but I'd opted to only run the t-molding partway under the front edge; I can see now they ran it the full length. That's funny they never went to the trouble of producing a set of Horror Games tags for the back, just chopped the tops off.

I think that might be all the missing pieces to my puzzle all in one post! You've just made my day!
