if you saw my other thread i just snagged a alied sea hunt shaker pinball at the local auction (for a woping 50$ lol)

after a little trial and error i was able to get the machine up and running at 99% working

i still need to replace some light bulbs and a solenoid for one of the chimes

and figure out why the ball drop and ball drop kicker assmbley is not working

but at this point even with thoes things not working this pin is by far the most fun i have had out of any pin i have ever used

no fancy spinners ,ramps ect but the shaker feature just rocks

here is a vid i just shot of my dad playing the game (he has been wanting a pin and i just could not pass up this one for 50$)

Another thing I learned today. Never saw or heard of this (type of) pin. Were there other shaker pins made? Looks fun (nice vid, even if dark) and the cabinet is cool, reminiscent of the mechanical rifle games I played way back when.

this is the first and only shaker i have ever seen
from the research i did allied did make a few diffrent shakers in the same style but with diffrent art and names(this one being in a run of only 1300 machines)

im not to shure if other companys made shakers or not

but if i come across another one i wont hesitate to buy it

i almost passed on this pin
it was at the auction and i didnt even bother to look at it because im used to any and all pins going for at least 200$(and i only showed up with 250 in my pocket lol)
but when this one didnt have any bids at 40 bucks i took a bite and ended up getting it

i didnt know if it workd at all untill i got it home because it had no ball in it (well i found out the hard way it did have a ball but it was floating im the bottom)

it fired right up when i got it home threw a ball in it and started playing then the ball that was inside shorted out the pin and blew 2 relays

i rebuilt the relays and now its fun as hell

the chimes were working but after an hour of playing one of the chinme bars broke and the solenoid smoked so i unpluged them for now untill i order a new solenoid and drill out whats left of the rivit holding the chime bar and re attach it with a bolt

i cleaned and waxed the playfeild tonnight and its damn near perfect
its nice because the playfiels is inside the machine there is no uv damage to the art at all

here is a better vid of someonelses machine

I didn't pay any attention to the shaker machine, but it does look pretty cool after watching the video. I'd never seen one before.

It looks like it is hard to get the ball back to the upper part of the playfield once it gets down to the flippers.

I have a Spooksville. As far as I know the only two shaker machines were Sea Hunt and Spooksville.

My Spooksville is a great game. The shortened playfield keeps the play fast and the shaking option adds a whole new element to the game.

if you learn how to use the shaker its pretty easy u can use the bottom slings allong with the shaker to really blast the ball anywhere you want

yea i did a little searching on th epinball database and thews are the only 2 listed as shaker ball

Ok... I assume the flippers are activated with the buttons on the grips? What does "shaking" actually do?

Yes, the flippers are activated with the buttons. The "joysticks" are used to move the playfield. This movement is the shaking. The playfield can still be tilted if you aren't careful, though.

the joysticks are connected to the playfeild and allow you to jerk the entire playfeil foward and back (no lef to right movment )

its pretty awsome i can almost play the game without ever using the flipper's
just by volleying the ball off of the lower slinshot bumpers

These machines look cool! Never seen one myself.

I'm used to shaker motors in newer machines. : 0

what i find funny is that i called a pinball parts suply company(someone reccomend me ) and they stright out told me that they dont carry parts for" aliied sub par quality pins "

allied may be sub par but for a game like this that gets the holy crap beat out of it during game play id say this sub par qulaity pin has held up as well if not better than the so called quality pins

Any idea about how one would fix one of these? I'm looking at one on eBay and the guy says that only the lights turn on.

They are just EM pinball machines. The playfield is a little difficult to get to but other than that they are straight forward EM machines.
