I had gotten advise that i should replace battery and hope it doesnt leak.. I checked in backglass and saw blue barrell and am assuming it s battery and it looks like brand new and clean.. or it s been there for good 20 years. but no leaks..

i saw the circle battery that i wanted to reset the save score. so i observe around 4 feet away and noticed it s kinda a snap on battery so i decide to use my hand and try to pull then POOF! ..

im like what?? then i decided to turn machine on and got that message.. Im like oh fk it!!!.. decide to remove that green board out of that backglass and observe and found out it s wired soldered on the board and it s not easily to replace.. I FK IT UP!!. now i need to solder it back on and dont want to mess it up!! GRR

any advise? solder it back on or?

LMK thanks

I would add a remote battery holder or NVRAM (no batteries) at this point but you could also replace the existing battery with a new one. In the mean time you can press the reset button on the MPU with the machine powered on to get into attract mode and play the game.

It's a simple job to solder a remote battery holder but if you are not comfortable doing that you could always buy this:

I'd just make it a habit to change the batteries once a year regardless if they are still good or not with good quality ones like Duracell or Energizer and I don't think you will have any problems with leakage down the road.

Good suggestion but that won't work on Gottlieb System 3 games.

you can do a remote pack, BUT you MUST do a 2 aa pack with new batteries, this is because the battery used by system 3 games is 3.3 volts, a new aa battery will test to between 1.6-1.7 volts, you should also dmm test that dallas chip at u6 after the remote install, to insure it is not damaged
