I'm getting these lines; any ideas?
I don't know if its toast or just a lose connection somewhere.
Sound works fine.

Thanks a lot

press in ALL chips in sockets...separate and reconnect the two boards from each other...also the smaller third board in the corner of the top board---remove and reseat.

Reseated all 3 boards and that didn't work. I also took off the ep-rom chips to reseat that. Any other ideas?

any dust anywhere? I've heard of the black line thing being shitty connection between the boards.

otherwise worst case it's like a RAM issue, and I don't think anyone's ever conquered that.

It's like one of those strange fantasy pictures... if you look on the left, the problem is actually the blue lines. On the other parts the problem is the black lines.

Yeah, weird huh. You can see the difference in the Ryu and Ken image. One has black lines the other is blue.
I'm gonna clean the boards as well as I can; hopefully that will fix the problem.

Well i took everything apart about 5 times and reseated the ep-roms and still the same. I'm guessing that its a failure on the board itself and cannot be fixed.
I guess i'll be looking for another SF2 Champion Edition board now.

Reflow all large surface mount chips. Be generous with the flux too to keep and bridges from forming.

I don't trust most big surface mount chips.

It can definately be fixed, but for the price it's not really worth it unless you can do it yourself. Like somebody else said, it's probably a ram problem, and like Scucci said it may be as simple as resoldering whatever ram chip it is.

Thanks for the help. Like you said it's probably easier to find another pcb.
At least I can salvage the ep-roms. I'll just try and find a Rainbow Edition pcb.
