Just got 2 of these babies. Great condition. They came from Spokane and I was lucky enough that the owners were coming down here anyway so I got it delivered to Portland quite cheaply. Big thanks to djw90 for hooking me up!!!

Now I have to figure out how to rearrange my game room to fit these in nicely.

JEALOUS!!!!! We had four of the original one when I worked at 3dfx since we made the graphics hardware for them. I would kill for two or more of these, but then my wife would kill me! My favorite driving game ever!!! I wish someone would make new games in this series for consoles at least.

You worked at 3dFX? Sweet.....whatever happened to the Voodoo 5 6000. That was suppose to come out, before they went under/buyout???? Heard it needed an external power supply to run it.

I was there early on. I left after Voodoo 2 shipped to go into games, so I missed everything after that.

Still, pretty cool though. That company was a posterboard for over night success with that graphics chipset. The Voodoo1 blew everything else out of the water. I had a Matrox Mystique 220 at the time. When I saw how fast and and how smooth my friends "Diamond Monster 3D" played Star Wars:Shadows of the Empire(especially the first level with snow speeder). That is when I went out and bought it(the Card) the next day. Killer card, Voodoo2 was also a treat.

However, when they went to a closed manufacturing process instead of leasing out the chipset to (abit, asus etc..) that's what helped do them in. And opened the doors for Nvidia and Ati even further.

Do you have any cool background stories that you remember when you worked there?

Sorry for the questions, it's just kind of cool to get a persons background review instead of the standard website politics....

Looks nice Shaneman, Rush The Rock is a great game and gets more use then any game in my gameroom. Check this out though. It makes a serious statement when you walk into my gameroom :)

Believe me, I remembered that you have 4. Very cool. :)

Be honest now, Jeff. You picked both of those things up and threw them on your back at the same time when moving them, right?

is it possible to upgrade a plain Rush to an Alcatraz edition just by switching harddrives or does it require extra wiring?
