Yeah Rush the Rock is two pieces. But definetely the hardest of the drivers to seperate. lots of screws and plugs. I guess due to speakers in seat. And also have to remove the shifter and seat.

Crusin and Cal Speed were way easier.

You've got an extra layer....

.... of wood that someone attached to the bottom of your cabinet. I used to have a pair of Alcatraz editions, both were converted from regular SF Rush versions.

If you take that bottom layer off you should see the seam where they separate. I recall there were 2 or 4 bolts on each side that hold the steel brackets across the seam. Once you unbolt those then the seat base should slide away from the front section.

Be careful when pulling apart as there is a bundle of wires in the floor board that goes to the rear speakers and the shift knob like someone else mentioned. There is a connector or two at the seam on the wire harness that once you unplug then you can have 2 separate sections so its easier to move around.

Also, I think there was originally plastic bottom leg levers on the seat section and I think there were lower profile swivel wheels under the monitor side. All you need to do to move mine around was just lift the seat slightly then it would roll around in any direction to put where you want it.

I miss my SF RTR AEs, but they just took up too much space! The monitor totally died on one, but before that they worked great and were linked - lots of fun. I wound up trading them plus a Pac-Man for a Tron & Donkey Kong.....

I have heard the original Rush didn't separate. I have never seen one in person to validate that, but your picture gives proof.

I guess I was lucky enough to pick up the Alcatraz dedicated which has different side art, it definitely comes apart in two pieces.

Yes, it is true, the original Rush cabs do not separate unless you use a reciprocating saw or similar device. The dedicated Rush The Rock release does. I have 3 original cabs, and one dedicated RTR cab. No doubt only the latter will separate nicely.
